Carol attained a BA in psychology from Denison University.  Inspired in medicine by her father Dr. Alexander Ackad, a nephrologist in New Jersey, Carol attended Northwestern Medical School in Chicago where she received her Masters in Physical Therapy.

Carol has over 15 years of clinical experience in physical therapy specializing in outpatient orthopaedics.  Her patient population includes all ages from adolescents through  geriatrics.  Her scope of practice includes post operative patients, overuse injuries, low back and neck pain and those with biomechanical issues that need to be addressed.

Carol's continuing education includes courses that specialize in the running athlete, core strengthing, total joint replacements, shoulder dysfunction, biomechanics of the foot and ankle, low back pain and Mulligan Mobilization with Movement Techniques.

Carol lives in Mount Lookout with her three children and golden doodle.  She is an avid runner and enjoys spending time with her family and cooking.
